houston, we have a problem

Was it P.T. Barnum who said there was no such thing as negative media attention?

NASA might disagree.

The space agency has been plagued in the last couple of years by a series of news stories that have largely been negative. Several top administrators have departed, claiming the agency had lost direction and focus. Various missions undertaken have been, sadly, a bit on the ho-hum side of the excitement scale. And now we have the love triangle angle.

It was bound to happen.

Workplace romances are not all that rare, and they rarely have a positive outcome.

But here we have one of the space chicks driving almost a thousand miles to confront a woman she believes to be cutting in on her time with a rocket man. Funny how the media played up that she was wearing a diaper – my first thought was, “Well, yeh, that’s what one would do on a mission, right?”

But one does have to be a little skeptical of her claim that she just wanted to talk to the woman. When’s the last time you opened a conversation with a can of pepper spray?

As for the man in the middle, guess he isn’t burning out his fuse up there alone.

Nanu-nanu, y’all.
